Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Praise be to Allah the Creator of the whole world. Blessing and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.
I am honored to be elected President of Ghana Islamic Society for Education and Reformation (GISER). This legacy of leadership is a tribute to the success and stability of GISER, and to the belief in the importance of our purpose held in common with us by our community, local and International. Personally, I am truly humbled to lead the incredibly talented and dedicated people who volunteer for GISER.
It is my belief that providing quality education and health care to Orphans in Ghana and around the world in a sustainable manner is society’s greatest challenge. But it is also the greatest hope for a better future for every individual, every family, every community and every country.
GISER works at the very center of this challenge. Every day, we are working to help Orphans and people everywhere live educated, healthier, and happier lives. I recognize that with my leadership comes a responsibility; one I consider a privilege. I’m pleased with how we are meeting that responsibility, but I’m far from satisfied.
My overarching goal as GISER President is to ensure that our nearly 200 Orphans in Ghana and around the world will always be united by Our Mission “To raise the religious awareness and educational standards of Muslims and to preserve their unique identity”.
Leading by example, inspires caring in the whole community, and reminds me of how firmly and fundamentally compassion is woven into the fabric of our society. This legacy of caring continues as we renew our commitment to philanthropy all over the world. We will look to go beyond education and Orphan relief, and explore programs that will make our communities more resilient.
GISER is committed to improving the welfare of all communities through quality and affordable education as well as proper Islamic guidance as declared by the society’s mission. Basic education is the right of all children.
Our leadership in education has been made possible by the belief in our mission that you share with us. I am committed to continuing the proud tradition of GISER as a purpose-led organization, calling on the great range and diversity of our worldwide talent and capabilities. We’ll also continue our commitment to the communities in which we operate and proudly call home.
I want to express my profound gratitude to the past and present board members, as well as members, partners and sponsors who volunteered their time, talent and money for the development of GISER and are committed to the improvement of our Muslim Community.
We will continue to focus much of our future efforts on having interfaith dialogue, community outreach, development of our educational institutions, and expanding our partnership with similar societies and associations locally and internationally. This has always been a major goal of our society I will continue to carry on this tradition.
We offer Saturday lectures at the Makar. Keep up to date with our activities and programming through the “News & Events” tab of this website and follow us on our Facebook page. If you would like more information, please contact secretary@giser.com, so we can add you to our contact list.
