Dear Sponsors,
The Orphan’s enjoyed their day at Legon Botanical Gardens. The day started with Madina students introducing themselves to the visiting students from Born to be Free. GISER invited the students from Born to be Free to raise additional awareness to the under-served children in Ghana.
The boys and girls were delighted to wear the new GISER t-shirts and colorful hijabs. Excitement was in the air, the children were ready to play!
A surprise dance troop performance brought everyone to their feet, kids and sponsors joined the troop and learned some new African dances.
The Papaye chicken and rice meals were served and welcomed with warm smiles. The kids ate and enjoyed time with the volunteers.
After lunch the children made their way to the high rope challenge, the playground, and the Canopy Walk to enjoy the serene view that the garden provides.
Popcorn, ice cream, and cotton candy were served throughout the day, delighting the young and old. This was a day to remember!
